COUNTY BASKETBALL

The Kettering-Largo-Mitchellville Boys and Girls Club County Basketball program consists of boys ages 7 to 18 and and girls ages 7 to 14. This is our most competitive program which seeks to teach the fundamentals of the sport while participating against other boys and girls basketball teams in the Prince Georges County Boys & Girls Club league.

The County Basketball program is divided into a Girls and Boys division. The Girls division consists of the following teams – 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under. The Boys division consists of teams at every age group starting with 8 and under going all the way to 18 and under. The County rules of play are governed by the Prince Georges County Boys & Girls Club, Inc. You can review the Prince George's County Boys & Girls Club website for details.

LEAGUE AGE ELIGIBILITY
Age groups are based on the age the athlete will be on January 1, 2024.

AGE GROUPS
Boys - 8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u, 15u, 16u, 17u, and 18u
Girls - 10u, 12u, and 14u

IDENTIFICATION CARDS
Athletes must have one of the following to play:

• Maryland MVA ID Card;
• Any Sanctioned Government-Issued ID with a photo and date of birth (e.g., US Passport or Military Dependent ID); or
• A PGCBGC Laminated Card.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration - $190 (Includes the $55 uniform cost)
Uniform and Online processing fees are Non-Refundable

PRACTICES
Weekdays (one day per week) - 1 to 1.5 hours
Saturdays and Sundays - 1.5 to 2 hours
All practices will be held at Kettering Middle School, Ernest Just Middle School, Largo High School, and/or the Perrywood Community Center.

We would like to thank all of our Coaches, Players, and Parents for your dedication and commitment to the 2023 County Basketball Season. Without you, it would not have been possible for KLMBGC to have 12 competitive County Teams.

2023 Noteworthy statistics...

• 10 of our 12 teams advanced to the Playoffs
• 7 of the 10 teams to advance to the Playoffs made it to the Championship Game
• 5 of the 7 teams won their respective Championships
• The 9u Boys, 11u Boys, 14u Girls, and 14u Boys went undefeated
• Coach Bob Pettis won back-to-back Championship - 12u Girls (this season) and 10u Girls (last season)
• Coaches Steve Lyons, Andre Hinton, and Vernon Crowder  won back-to-back Championships - 11u (this year) and 10u (last year)
• Coaches Janee Brown, Taylor McCarley, and Khalen Cumberland won back-to-back Championships - 14u Girls (this season) and 12u (last season)
