THE CHELSEA HOUSE PROJECT

Since 2011, the Kettering Largo Mitchellville Boys & Girls Club has been in a partnership with Maryland Park & Planning to renovate the Historic Chelsea House, adjacent to the Perrywood/Kettering Recreation Center and school, to serve as our new club house. It is anticipated that this project will be completed in 2020 with the continued financial assistance from our political leaders, local businesses, and you, the community. Currently, the facility is used for storage of our equipment as work is being performed in stages. However, going forward, it is our vision to bridge the sports and educational gap for the youth in our community by establishing mentoring and tutoring programs, as well as, utilizing the facility as a resource center and meeting place for the KLMBGC community. The total estimated cost for this project is $1.2 million dollars. To date, we have raised approximately $600,00.00.

To the KLMBGC family, we are now asking that the community step up and become involved in our efforts to raise the needed funds to reach our goal of completing this project within our projected time frame. With your tax exempt donations and the continued support from our local and state representatives we can achieve our goal to have a facility that will represent our forty-six years of service to the Kettering, Largo, Mitchellville community.
